Flexographic Printing

Flexo printing allows printing onto the materials we use:

  • Corrugated board and folding box board

It evolved from traditional letterpress printing, incorporating high-speed rotary functionality. The process involves using flexible rubber printing plates to transfer ink onto the various surfaces

How It Works:

  • Pre-press: This critical step involves preparing the artwork and creating the flexible plates. Accuracy is crucial to avoid wasted ink and materials.
    • The flexible sterio is attached to the impression cylinder
    • Ink compatibility with the substrate is essential
  • Printing Stations:
    • Each press has multiple printing stations, with each station responsible for printing a single color.
    • Rollers transfer ink to the plates.
    • The plate cylinder and impression cylinder apply pressure to transfer ink from the plate to the substrate.

What it’s used for:

  • Food packaging
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • POS (Point of sale products)

Advantages:

  • Quick-drying
  • Versatility across substrates
  • High-speed production capabilities

Uses eco-friendly water based inks
